Govenor Culver appoints former Glee Clubber Chris Foy to bench

A Waverly attorney has been appointed as judge of the 2nd Judicial District in northern Iowa.

Christopher Foy was appointed Thursday by Gov. Chet Culver. The district covers Winnebago, Hancock, Worth, Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Mitchell, Floyd, Butler and Bremer counties.

Foy, who replaces retired District Judge Paul Riffel, has worked for Leslie, Collins & Foy since 1993. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1984 and his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1987.

As an undergraduate at the University of Northern Iowa, Chris Foy was a member of the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club. He is a member of the Les Hale Endowment Fund board of directors, and was responsible for drafting the endowment fund agreement and bylaws.
