A record 134 attend first fall 2007 rehearsal
It was a full house in Davis Hall for the first rehearsal of the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club, August 20, 2007. 134 men, some from as far away as Thailand and Malaysia, were on hand to kick off the 48th academic year of the Glee Club at UNI. This would break the record for the largest number of men in the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club since the group was founded in 1960. The previous record was held by the 1968-69 Glee Club, under the direction of Dr. Les Hale, with 127 men.

After a 30 minute roll call, the group began working on music for the September 28 Scholarship Benefit Concert, as well as Christmas repertoire.

Davis Hall was used for rehearsal instead of the traditional location, Jebe Hall, but only partly because of the record attendance. Jebe Hall is currently being used for storing pianos from Russell Hall, as that building is being renovated.
