Fall 2007 recruiting begins during Freshman Orientation
Recruiting for the Fall 2007 semester has begun for the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club.
Led by senior T. J. Warren, the group set up a table and display at Maucker Union during Freshman Orientation on campus. A recruiting committee of over a dozen Glee Club members signed up to man the table during the nine orientation sessions.
And already several incoming students have signed up.

A collection of photos from past European tours was on display. A DVD featuring the latest Glee Club Christmas Variety Show played on a table-top monitor.

A record recruiting year in the making?
The UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club has had as many as 127 members, a record reached during the Les Hale era in the late 1960's. But it is possible that number could be matched this fall.
"Word is getting out about the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club," said Adam Riley, alumnus and LHEF board member. "It's a great thing."

Next spring, the Glee Club will tour Poland and the Czech Republic as part of the group's 15th European Tour.

Traditionally, the Glee Club has been a group for non-music majors, but in the last several years, an increasing number of music majors have joined the Glee Club - particularly men who hope to be choral directors when they graduate.
