A generous alum has donated funds to support 1 full-paid and 2 half-paid trips to Europe, announced Professor Kiser on Wednesday, Jan 13. The Glee Club's 16th European Tour is scheduled for May 12 - 21, 2010, and the cost of this year's tour of Northern Italy is $2,750. One scholarship will be a 'full-ride', and two scholarships will fund half of the tour cost (approximately $1,375).

Any Glee Club member in good standing is eligible for a scholarship. To apply, Glee Club members must write an essay that discusses one of the three virtues of Glee Club: excellence, tradition and camaraderie, and how the student represents that aspect as a member of the Glee Club.

The essay should be typed, no more than two pages and double-spaced. Essays are due by noon, January 22, 2010, and can be submitted to Professor Kiser or placed in his mailbox, located in Room 72 of the PAC.

The alumnus who created these scholarships is a long-time supporter of the Glee Club, and the Glee Club thanks him and his family for their inspiring generosity.
