The Glee Club's first fall rehearsal sees 120 members
Over 120 men were on hand for the Glee Club's first rehearsal of the Fall 2008 semester, August 25. Glee Club director, Dr. Brad Barrett, said later that this was a good number to have in the group, especially following a European Tour year.
The men sang "Psalm 103" and "Hodie!" as a warm up. Dr. Barrett was pleased by the turnout, and was generally impressed by the group's sound. Just before the end of the rehearsal, the veterans of the group sang "Brothers, Sing On!" Veteran member Bobby Williams and others manned the Glee Club table during Freshman Orientation Week at Maucker Union in June. A sizable number of new members were added to the Glee Club ranks, based on similar recruiting efforts. This fall marks the start of Dr. Barrett's 5th year as director of the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club. |
