Maintaining a successful program such as the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club takes more than just hard work. It takes people who are dedicated to great traditions, and people who believe in the power of music to lift up, inspire, and help make the world a better place. That's the mission of the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club.

The Glee Club experience has vastly enriched the lives of many UNI students since 1960.

With the uncertainty of University budgets, and the increasing costs of transportation and performing, your support of the Glee Club is more important now than ever. Your gift is 100% tax deductible, and will help ensure that the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club continues its spirit of excellence, tradition and camaraderie for generations to come.

The Les Hale Endowment Fund
Many Alumni & Friends of the Glee Club have pledged thousands of dollars to the Les Hale Endowment Fund - to help secure the Glee Club's future. The Les Hale Endowment Fund (LHEF) was developed in 1997, and to date has almost $200,000 in cash and pledges. It is a true endowment - only the interest generated from the fund can be spent. The Fund is named in honor of the founder and first director of the UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club, Dr. Les Hale.

No other group at the University of Northern Iowa has anything like the Les Hale Endowment Fund. It is a symbol of the spirit, tradition and steadfast devotion of our Alumni & Friends to the Varsity Men's Glee Club.

Becoming a Kingpin
The Kingpin level of giving is the most popular level of giving, and starts at $1,000, which can be given in installments as little as $16.67 a month, over a period of up to 5 years.

Any individual, group or business can become a Kingpin.

There are 3 higher levels of Kingpins; Bronze Kingpins($2,500), Silver Kingpins ($5,000), and Gold Kingpins($10,000). If you are interested in giving on a higher level, a Platinum Kingpin level may be considered.

Cash Donations
Every year, the Glee Club receives donations from ordinary people who enjoyed a concert, or just love what the Glee Club does, and want to show appreciation! These gifts go to the Glee Club's general account, and help offset day to day costs.

Adopt a Tuxedo
A major operational expense for the Glee Club is the purchase and replacement of tuxedos and shirts, an ongoing consideration as the group continues to grow and thrive.

You can help the Glee Club by adopting a tuxedo with a gift of $100. Your generosity will help provide for the purchase of a new tuxedo, and help the Glee Club properly outfit all its members.

Giving of your time and talents
Many alumni, in a vast array of professional fields, have come to the aid of their brothers over the years to donate their time and talents to the group. Some alums return every December to help assemble the set for the Christmas Shows. Some donate their accounting, legal, or marketing skills. Some successful alums even offer career opportunities to qualified Glee Clubbers when they graduate from UNI.
