What defines us
The UNI Varsity Men's Glee Club has three core principles - a set of values that help guide and define us: Excellence, Tradition, and Camaraderie. EXCELLENCE is the foundation of our group - not only in music, but excellence in all we do. We strive to be men of integrity, and because we challenge each other to work hard and do our very best, Glee Club men have set themselves apart, both within the group and beyond. Past and present members have earned many honors, including the University's highest student achievement award, the Lux Medallion. Glee Club men are leaders on campus, and continue to be leaders in their lives after college. TRADITION Founded in 1960, The University of Northern Iowa Varsity Men's Glee Club is one of the oldest collegiate groups at UNI. In fact, the Glee Club predates The University of Northern Iowa name by seven years! Sons of past UNI men now call the Glee Club their own, creating an enduring legacy. We proudly represent our University, the State of Iowa and the United States, when touring overseas. It is our goal to create a name for this organization that is synonymous with commitment, energy, and enthusiasm. And that is one of our finest traditions. CAMARADERIE and brotherhood are values forged within the Glee Club, over the years of student involvement. Many alumni have said that the friends you make in Glee Club are the friends you have for life. These principles help to inspire the unbreakable bond that unifies the Club. We continue to uphold these values for the encouragement and guidance of new generations of Glee Club men. |
